The Portrait Experience

What Sets Our Guest Portraits Apart

Live wedding guest portraits should feel like an extension of your celebration — not a novelty add-on.

Our approach is rooted in years of professional experience and formal artistic training. Nate is a full-time professional illustrator whose work spans graphic novels, television, and commercial productions, bringing industry-level skill to every portrait created at your wedding. Sunny’s background as a wedding photographer brings a deep understanding of the rhythm and flow of a wedding day, along with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring the guest experience feels smooth, intentional, and thoughtfully executed from start to finish.

This unique combination allows us to focus on proportion, expression, and subtle detail—even while creating portraits live. Each piece is thoughtfully illustrated in ink and watercolor, with expressive linework and delicate color that result in artwork designed to be cherished long after the wedding.

By thoughtfully balancing live creation with studio finishing, we're able to maintain the same level of consistency, refinement, and care for every guest. The result is a collection of portraits that feels cohesive, elevated, and personal.

What’s Included in Our Portrait Packages

Signature On-Site Portraits

On your wedding day, guests are invited to visit our table during cocktail hour and throughout the reception for a quick reference photo. They can then return to the celebration immediately—there's no sitting or waiting required—while we begin illustrating their portrait.

Each guest portrait is thoughtfully created in ink and watercolor, rooted in the tradition of pen-and-ink illustration and watercolor painting. Through expressive linework, thoughtful composition, and delicate watercolor, we capture each guest with elegance, warmth, and character. As portraits are completed, they are displayed throughout the evening, creating an interactive gallery for guests to enjoy before taking home a one-of-a-kind keepsake.

Custom Portrait Paper

Every portrait is created on A5 (5.8 × 8.3 in.) 100% cotton, 330 gsm archival-quality watercolor paper, personalized with your names, wedding date, monogram, custom crest, or other wedding details. Using professional artist-grade watercolor paints and archival ink, each portrait is crafted to become a timeless keepsake worthy of being framed and enjoyed for years to come.

Studio Finishing and Delivery

Our commitment to quality extends well beyond your wedding day. Any portraits not completed during the wedding are finished in our studio.

Because our portraits prioritize artistry over speed, we thoughtfully balance live illustration with studio finishing. This allows us to maintain the same level of craftsmanship and artistic attention for every guest, whether their portrait is completed during the reception or in our studio.

The studio finished portraits will be packaged in vellum jackets and ready-to-send envelopes for delivery. Within a few weeks, you'll receive the complete collection— thoughtfully presented, and ready to share with your guests.

Couple’s Heirloom Portrait

As part of your collection, you'll receive a dedicated 9×12 in. heirloom portrait created in our studio with added time and intention. Inspired by the overall aesthetic of your celebration, it incorporates meaningful details from your wedding day to create a timeless piece designed to be displayed and cherished for years to come.
