Wedding Guest Portraits in

the White Mountains, New Hampshire

Blog

We headed up to the White Mountains for a beautiful wedding at The Wentworth Inn, where we created ink and watercolor portraits for the couple’s guests. The setting was beautiful, but the guests truly made the evening - stylish, warm, and incredibly appreciative of art. People stopped by throughout the night with so much excitement and kindness, and we received the sweetest compliments as portraits began to unfold.

Photos of the guests and venue are courtesy of Clay Taylor Photo, who captured the day beautifully, and even ended up with a portrait himself. Scroll through the blog to see the illustrations.

Guest Portraits for this White Mountains Wedding

The portrait table stayed busy all night — the guests were so excited, and we had a lot of fun personal requests along the way. One couple asked us to add their dog, another wanted a portrait of their children who weren’t at the wedding, and a few guests came back multiple times just to see everyone else’s portraits unfold.

Fine-Art Wedding Portraits & the Guest Experience

Our portrait approach is always intentional: clean ink outlines, soft watercolor layers, expressive yet elegant features, and a refined palette. Each portrait is created individually, never rushed, and crafted as a keepsake guests will want to frame and keep. Throughout this White Mountains New Hampshire wedding, guests gathered around our live wedding portrait table to watch illustrations take shape. The portrait station became a natural point of connection, offering guests a meaningful, fine-art experience they’ll remember long after the wedding.

After the After the Celebration: Studio Finishing

After the celebration, the artistry continues in our studio. Not every portrait is completed on-site, and we refine the remaining illustrations with the same intentional approach—clean ink work, calibrated color layers, and small details that bring each piece to life. This ensures every portrait feels polished, consistent, and worthy of keeping long-term.

Once completed, we package the finished portraits and mail them to the couple in ready-to-send envelopes, making it easy to share them with guests alongside their thank-you cards. This thoughtful studio finishing process is a signature part of our work as a New Hampshire live wedding portrait artist, ensuring every guest receives a beautiful, archival-quality keepsake.

A Special Portrait for the Bride and Groom

We always create a portrait just for the couple. For this wedding, theirs was drawn on a larger 9x12 piece of paper and personalized to include their fur baby, who had passed away before the wedding. We used several reference photos, including their engagement photos, to bring him into the portrait. As a New Hampshire wedding live artist, details like this are some of our favorite parts of creating fine-art portraits for couples. It was a sweet way to have him “there” with them on their day.

Highlights From the Wedding Day

We posted this video on Instagram and had to include it here too. It really shows what the day was like. Lots of smiling guests and a few fun behind-the-scenes moments from this White Mountains wedding.
